Sunset Songs Series: Selwyn Birchwood

Selwyn Birchwood is an award-winning Orlando-born guitarist, lap steel player, songwriter, and vocalist celebrated as one of the most original voices in contemporary blues, blending deep blues with psychedelic rock, funk, and Southern soul into his signature “Electric Swamp Funkin’ Blues.” After winning the 2013 International Blues Challenge, he launched a critically acclaimed career highlighted by his Alligator Records debut Don’t Call No Ambulance and subsequent albums including Pick Your Poison, Living In A Burning House, and his latest, Exorcist, produced by Grammy winner Tom Hambridge. Known for his electrifying live performances, Birchwood has played major festivals worldwide and continues to push the blues forward with blistering guitar work, soulful lap steel, and thought-provoking songwriting—all with a mission to make audiences both dance and think. In addition to live music, guests can enjoy on site food trucks and alcoholic beverages available for purchase through the Ocala Outreach Program.
