ABOUT THE SHOW: The course of true love never did run smooth, they say… and this musical comedy takes you on a delightful ride through every twist, turn, and bump in the road of the modern journey. It’s a hilarious celebration of all the milestones from single to married (and beyond): first dates, weddings, marriage, babies, family, and being alone again. For anyone who’s ever played the waiting, dating, and mating game, or taken a chance at romance… this is your Valentine.

ROLES AVAILABLE: Two men, two women. Ages 20s-40s. Actors will play multiple characters ranging in age from 10-70 + .

Woman #1: Late 20s to early 30s. Soprano (low A to Bb5). The polished, sometimes neurotic career woman; the apprehensive dater; and the overwhelmed new mother. Key songs: “I Can Live With That” and “He Called Me.” Woman #2: Late 20s to early 40s. Alto (low F# to Db5). The cynical, dating-app-weary friend; the exhausted suburban wife; and the hilarious, gossiping grandmother. Key songs: “Always a Bridesmaid” and “The Very First Dating Video.” Man #1: Late 20s to late 30s. Tenor/baritone (middle C to Ab5). The slightly insecure, romantic guy; the sports-obsessed husband; and the awkward, over-the-hill divorcé. Key songs: “Shouldn’t I Be Less in Love with You?” and “A Stud and a Babe.” Man #2: Late 20s to early 40s. Baritone (low Db to upper Gb5). The commitment-phobe; the overly analytical modern dad; and the energetic geriatric pickup artist. Key songs: “Tear Jerk” and “The Family That Drives Together.”

PRE-AUDITION WORKSHOP: There will be a free, optional, pre-audition workshop on Sunday, December 6 at 6 p.m. Led by director Sarah Curtis and music director Justin Davis, this practical workshop is ideal for both newcomers and experienced performers to meet the show’s creative team, learn about the audition process, and practice your audition song and monologue. Bring your sheet music so you can rehearse your audition song. Reserve your spot for the workshop.

AUDITIONS: Auditions are Monday, December 7 and Tuesday, December 8. It is only necessary to attend one night of auditions. Reserve your audition spot.

Men, learn and sing this song cut of “The Baby Song.” Women, learn and sing this song cut of “Always a Bridesmaid.” An accompanist will be provided. No recorded accompaniment or a cappella auditions will be allowed. You must bring printed, legible music in a book or binder or be able to AirDrop a PDF to the accompanist.
