John Elliott

I began my professional career as a newspaper photojournalist in south Florida a few decades ago. Since then I have handled a wide variety of international assignments and projects, as a U.S. Army photographer, magazine photojournalist, and most recently as a public diplomacy Foreign Service officer for 11 years with the U.S. State Department. With a Fine Arts degree from Ohio University, I became a photography instructor at the Art Institute of Atlanta in the ’80s, a corporate communications media manager in the ’90s, and an advertising creative director in the 2000s. My photographs have been exhibited in South America, the Middle East, and throughout the USA. Most recent exhibit will be from June 2025 to January 2026 at the Appleton Museum of Fine Arts in Ocala, Florida, USA. In 2022. In 2022, I founded the Ocala Photography Group, which I continue to direct. More at: www.thehumanpulse.com/profile
