My work is rooted in a deep connection to the horse—its strength, sensitivity, and the energy it brings into human experience. I am drawn to the quiet power horses hold, and the sense of understanding, tranquility, and trust they inspire. Whether in bronze or on canvas, I explore the emotional presence of the horse and its ability to ground, calm, and connect us.
In sculpture, I work primarily in bronze, creating forms that are meant to endure. These pieces often begin with an exploration of movement—how weight shifts, how energy gathers and releases, and how a single gesture can carry both intensity and stillness. I am interested not only in anatomical accuracy, but in capturing a sense of presence—something that feels steady, grounded, and alive within its space.
My painting practice offers a more immediate and intuitive response to these same ideas. Through gesture, composition, and mark-making, I focus on conveying the spirit and emotional energy of the horse. These works are less about detail and more about essence—inviting the viewer to feel rather than simply observe.
Across both mediums, my work centers on the connection between the horse and the human experience. I am interested in how this relationship evokes calm, trust, and reflection, and how those qualities can be translated into physical form. My goal is to create work that invites pause—pieces that hold a sense of quiet strength and offer a moment of stillness within a busy world.
Much of my work lives within equestrian, residential, and public environments, where it becomes part of a larger landscape and daily rhythm. I am drawn to creating work that not only occupies space, but contributes to it—bringing a sense of balance, identity, and emotional depth.
Ultimately, my work is about honoring the horse not only as a subject, but as a source of energy and inspiration—creating pieces that feel both grounded and timeless, and that resonate on a deeply human level.
